Vermont Wood Works Council Internship

Overview

The Woodworking Internship Program in Vermont is a four-week paid internship program that provides hands-on experience in woodworking and furniture making. The internship is open to anyone who is interested in beginning a career in woodworking and any shop that is associated with the Vermont Wood Works Council.

Program Benefits

Participants will receive a stipend of $3,600 for their four weeks of work paid by the employer/internship host and reimbursed by the Vermont Wood Works Council. Participants will gain hands-on experience in woodworking and furniture making by learning from experienced members of the field. Some internships have the potential to lead to a full time job.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be interested in woodworking or furniture making as a career & must be able to meet the physical demands of the internship.

Program Structure

Interns will apply to specific company internship programs. Once accepted by a company, the intern will spend one month doing rotations at that woodworking company, emphasizing hands-on experience learning to build.
